ProjectMGMT
Project-based student competition designed to encourage application of concepts learned within the classroom to the real world and development of skillsets essential for students' future career success.
Competition Details

This student competition is a project-based event where a team (up to 20 members) identifies a goal for a project, create a plan, execute towards clear milestones, and produce post-implementation analysis. The projects can be single or multi-year initiatives, but each project will be evaluated for the school year in which it is declared for submission (projects are not eligible for re-entry in subsequent school years regardless of change in the composition of team members). Teams are encouraged to identify required roles with defined responsibilities for their team members and determine which member's skills are best matched for the responsibilities of tasks within their projects.
Project ideas include, but not limited to creating a student-led business and marketing a school-based initiative.

ProjectMGMT ESG
Our students are often passionate about making a meaningful difference within their schools, communities, or even the world. To encourage competitors to be positive contributors, we are proud to offer a separate competitive category for projects which are declared as ESG impact-driven. ESG relates to the environment, social, and governance (for students, governance will relate to an impactful change to school administrative policy or local government policy). Project submissions must be submitted in the main ProjectMGMT competitive event with an indicated interest for the entry to also be considered for ProjectMGMT ESG. Evaluation for ProjectMGMT ESG component submissions will be conducted separate from the evaluation of the main competitive event. A project may be eligible for award recognition in the main ProjectMGMT event as well as the ProjectMGMT ESG component; likewise, a project may receive an award in the ProjectMGMT ESG component without successfully placing in the main ProjectMGMT event.

Students overlay our Career Process to kickstart and achieve their project goals
Process-Guided Activity

Applying A Framework
Our Career Process is the starting point for students when they begin brainstorming about their project. The process will prompt students to be thoughtful about each phase of working on a project. They will apply each of the seven steps and return each step as necessary throughout the course of working on their project. By approaching this competition through this lens, students will have a structured process to identify a project opportunity, understand the landscape, develop a plan, and progress towards their project goal.
